What We Do

Through targeted programmes and strategic initiatives, FEATU drives meaningful change for teachers and education systems across East Africa.

We actively participate in national and regional policy dialogues. Key focus areas include teacher remuneration, education financing, curriculum reform, and digital transformation in education.

2. Professional Development & Capacity Building

Regional training workshops for union leaders, teacher training on modern pedagogies and ICT in education, and leadership and negotiation skills programmes.

3. Research & Knowledge Sharing

Conducting studies on teacher motivation, attrition rates, working conditions, and education quality. Publishing reports and policy briefs to inform decision-makers.

4. Solidarity & Support
